Re: It was only supposed to be a minor rust repair.....
What is that rusty panel actually called. My 912 had this recently done by Max at revival. God news for you, mine was 4 million times worse than yours. Suspension pickups rusted out completely. Failed ON THE WAY TO THE MOT CENTRE. I would have had no idea otherwise. Scary. Lovely car BTW.

Re: Starting from cold
I couldn't ever start my 912 and I asked Max Levell. Here's what I do. When cold - 3 pumps foot on throttle about 1/4 opening the throttles and start. Always works when it's been regularly driven when hot - no pumps. Just throttle open a crack. When it's been sat - 6 pumps min then crack throttles a...

Not very Pork, but its a cute bike - 1971 BSA Bantam 175cc
So, I've sold the red SC and now the Bantam needs to go as the big BMW GS has arrived. Anyone interested in cute old British bikes ? Its a 1971 Bantam, restored last year with a rebuilt engine and its super sweet, but has never exactly lit my candle as I come from Ducatis and as hard as I tried, a 4...

FS - 2.2T engine including all ancillaries, less a fan
I have decided that there is no way I am going to be able to afford to 911 up my 912, so I am selling the bits I have collected to do so, the first thing to go might as well be the engine. The engine number is 6103518, I believe that this is a 1970 2.2T, but I stand corrected. I bought it 6 months a...

1979 911SC - LHD - Guards Red, Just restored
The time has come the walrus said, the car is finished, you are now broke and you must sell. A sad day. I'm looking for as near as possible to £35,000, from DDK'ers I will consider serious offers. Heres the selling bit :- 1979 Porsche 911SC, in Guards Red and originally delivered to Glockler dealers...

Yep, got caught on the big currency fluctuations when we moved back to Australia in 2005, between agreeing price on the house sale and the money arrived in my account, it was $100,000 less than it was a few months prior. Bad news bears.

Re: O/T - non Porsche - Caterham
I also had a polished alloy and green wings one like Lightweight911, Ford crossflow engine and skinny tyres, it was on a Q plate, I bought it from a guy in Manchester who'd built it and never drove it after he got a 911 for a company car soon after ! I bought it 10 years old with 2000 miles from new...

FS - O/T - Time ZXRS superbike - 54cm - Full Ultegra Di2
Hi All, I bought this a few months ago and rode it once, just 50 miles, ridiculous, but I have 6 other bikes including 2 Indy Fabs and 1 Moots, and it just has never been ridden, so it needs to go. So, what have we got, its a Time ZXRS VIP frameset http://www.slanecycles.com/time-zxrs-vip-frameset-w...

Re: The 5000 dollar question
You guys don't get out of Porsche world enough !! There is a world of great cars for that sort of money, in fact, you don't even have to spend that, I have bought 4 MX5's in the past 5 years and spent no more than £1000 on any of them, one I bought for £700, spent £500 getting a new mohair hood, doi...
