Re: Brand new Carrera engine anyone?

It will be interesting to see how expensive they make this? The replica industry such as the 550 and 356 speedster means there isn't just a finite amount original cars to sell it to.

Re: Brand new Carrera engine anyone?

I know this sounds a bit of a novice question and it is just a question. But the 4 cam Carrera engine wasn't exactly that user friendly even in when you bought the car new? Double overhead cams were on the design envelope in the late 50's early 60's. As the engines are so expensive are they just mak...

Good to see you are able to leave Barry to take his natural course on things.

Re: 356 Race Car

Good to see you getting the shakedown of the 356 under your belt. Hope you get some of the niggles sorted.
Driving on hard old bias ply tyres should have been a good schooling for the dunlop tyres you have.

Steering feel on the new 991 does feel heavy at times compared to previous models.

Sorry for the thread hijack. I am willing to admit that I am behind the times with this technology. This is a recent review of cameras in Motorsport from Driven where Chris Harris is working. Giving a good look into how things developed and where things are going in the future. http://www.youtube.co...

Re: BMW 2002 tii

OK I admit that wasn't the nicest way of putting it. I just thought you should use the location to your advantage. Anyway this is a Japanese auction here and it is easy enough to navigate around. There are others that use agents who will ferret out a spefic car for you. There are still a good depth ...

Re: BMW 2002 tii

I am still perplexed as are others why you are looking at buy a car blind specifically from an island just off France? You are looking at a 35 year old car to ship it halfway around the world. The UK is the one of the worst places for rust. It has rough roads and average levels roadworthiness for ol...

Without the artistic licence of 28" wheels in the drawing and dreaming of an Evoque .
The reality will probably be looking at the Audi Q3/Q5 with 991 headlamps and tail lamps grafted on.

Re: 356 Race Car

No I am all for the racelogic Vbox, I think that they are a wonderful tool for the job. I have worked for a number of years with this sort of thing in modern cars and the Vbox is a product made for trackday users. I think that most of you would be interested in this sort of detail as a point of refe...

Re: child seat recommendations

I would recommend the Recaro Young Sport they are well made but more importantly - They are narrower than the Britax and Maxi-Cosi and fit better in most cars. I can fit in a backseat of a A4 with 2 of these. The best thing is that they have pads you can remove as they get older, they can also use t...
