Re: 912 outlaw project

Chris

How many hours do you think you spend a week on the car?

I am intending to do a project one day, and want an idea of just how possible it is to juggle with life.

Re: Any Yorkshire 914 owners about?

Just saw the two cheap 914s sold on the classified by vwretrosteve.

Gutted to miss one those.

Did they go to someone on here?

The grey one with the old wheels looked a peach.

Though our 'rallying' is mere regularity and test, historic rally style - no helmets or cages...

I think your rallying looks a lot more fun!

Any Yorkshire 914 owners about?

Me and a mate are looking to buy a 914 for rallying.

But be are both 6'4" and he is built like a prop forward!

Any 914ers around Leeds, Otley, Skipton or Harrogate who can give us a quick sit in test to see if we fit??

Cheers

Re: Pacing around awaiting rolling road results

£76/hp - with reborn cylinders?

Is that JUST engine rebuild cost??

I bet the engine is sweet though - spent yesterday driving a 1968 SWB 2.0 with a Bob Watson engine. It was bloody fantastic.

Re: Have a hankering for a Lieca digital camera:which one th

I think I mentioned in the other camera thread - the lens on the digilux2 (and LC1) is just lovely.

Such a beautiful portrait lens. I miss mine!

I got a GF1 - and use a really cheap f1.7 manual focus lens for portraits.

But really wish I'd kept the Leica.

Classic cars wanted at Blenheim for photoshoot next Wed.

Next Wednesday 27th, at Blenheim Palace.

An acquaintance needs a few tidy classics to photograph for a website/brochures to promote a new motoring event there next year.

If any of you guys live nearby and fancy it, let me know and I can put you in touch with the organizer.

Cheers

Re: Compression Testing and 914s

Would a short length of plastic conduit do the job of stiffening the pressure testing hose?

Buy another car over there and problem solved!

You would think LA would be fairly busy though

What have you bought? Anything tasty?

Re: Cameras: Panasonic Lumix LC1

I had a digilux 2 a while ago.

The lens quality really is something special.

Took some portraits of the kids with it and they really standout as being shot with superior glass.

Stupidly, I sold it a while back as I wasn't using it (or any other camera) all that much.
