Surely you knew this before you booked it in?

I rang them about shipping a couple of weeks ago and they explained this.

What port are you shipping from?

Buy another car over there and problem solved!

You would think LA would be fairly busy though

What have you bought? Anything tasty?

Pay for solo container

Less chance of damage that way as well

Shipping is such a pain...hang in there!

I shipped my sixer from Las Vegas to Rotterdam to Nuremberg (where I was living at the time) and was told it would take a month or two..think I waited about 4 months!! It arrived one VERY cold February morning at 2.0am on the back of a transporter, covered in Snow and the whole of the interior was mouldy!!

I managed to start it eventually, after waking up the entire neighbourhood revving the hell out of it to warm it up after it had sat for so long.. People were hanging out of their apartment windows in their pyjamas telling me to 'shut the f*** up' in their best German!

Then I had to drive it down a hill on compacted snow to get it in my garage..that was one night I will never forget.

But after a weekend cleaning up the mould and hairdrying the whole car..boy was it worth the wait!..as I'm sure yours will be too.

Ollie.
