Re: engine yoke

Thanks for the replies boys. Sorry for my delay but I have been away. Richard, the one you got from the states, was it worth it after paying the import tax etc. ?? I would like a quality one that is man enough for the 911 engine.

cheers

Hmmm it looks like they have supplied the wrong part because this one had no pressing at the rear to dress around the kidney bowl. It just ends as if somebody has sawn the end off and the general profile was also wrong. So 993.503.962.00 GRV definite wrong part. Have e.mailed them with that part num...

Re: Outer Sill to kidney joint

Mark, Is that outer sill a genuine Porsche part or a Dansk piece of s--t ? Have just dropped in to collect one I ordered from OPC but it is the 993 sill and wrong. I don't mind paying the OPC price if it actually fits !! Its for 78 model SC coupe.

cheers

Cheers Nick, that was the answer I was looking for ! Seven quid sounds better than 47 dollars. I might even try the grinding the socket method ( as long as I don't have to butcher a Snap On socket )  Thanks for the help boys ,Ian
