Headliner Colour
Opinions and Facts. My R homage is in paint at present . One of the first jobs on return will be headlining.
I've got no problems doing it BUT what colour, Black or White. Part of me likes the cucooned feel an all black interior gives but is it a bit oppresive? Is a White liner more period?
Help me out here chaps

My car will certainly have a white headliner: having come from a white one to a black one, I'm amazed how much smaller and darker the interior feels, so the current one will go during it's 'proper' resto.
TBH, I don't think you actually really notice the headlining colour once it's in, so much as the light levels inside.

I've been looking at a few cars and their headlinings (as inspiration for my project).
I thought I wanted black but I've decided to go for white.
Black may look 'tough' or 'factory' but it's dark in there. I'm with Barry, I like white. Plenty of TR's and ST's ran with white, don't know about the R's. Someone here will.

Headlining.
Wimpish as I am I think white is the way to go. Of course with my weight saving head on I should leave it out but the delete sunroof works are too obviuos inside.
cheers fellas.

Found this image of 911r number 11 with a red headliner, fairly sure it is original...
