Re: All change at Classic Porsche magazine...

I know nothing about publishing but when a vw magazine like Hayburner is free for £7 postage for 4 issues(Yes I know that there are more adverts than content) you would think there would be a margin at a fiver when to be honest some months a few of the car mags can be quite threadbare aswell!

Re: All change at Classic Porsche magazine...

Re: All change at Classic Porsche magazine...

As a fan of mk1 golfs I have been buying performance vw for many years but alas after it was taken over by Kelsey.........I just don't bother buying it now. Kelsey have taken over many magazines now and I always notice a downward trend on the reader enjoyment scale.

Re: Some advice please on roads around the Scottish Borders

Tom I would leave Gattonside and head East for Smailholm village . Stop off on the way to look at Scott's view. Sir Walter's favourite view which is stunning with the river Tweed in the foreground and the Eildon hills behind. Through Smailholm and head for Kelso. A quick look around the French style...

Sadly the enviromentalists are in awe of such predators and as their numbers grow they are having a devestating affect on smaller birds!

Re: Temporary garage / shelter

I had a machine mart one and in under a year it had worn through on the corners. I had placed it in what I thought was a sheltered spot but it really couldn't stand up to the weather here in the Scottish Borders. The only good thing was Machine mart gave me a credit note for it's value when I took i...

Re: Projects undertaken while Grounded?

Takeflight. I love the original paint Mf35. It looks pretty straight and dent free! I have one my father bought new in 1959 and also a Ford 4000 bought new in 1969 for the grand price of £875. Still earns it's keep on haybob and cement mixer!

Re: 997 or high mileage 993

Re Early sports seats. My wife who is a physiotherapist had a client who was complaining of his car seat and asked her what sort of car she had. She has a Tiguan but told him he will need to get a 993 as they are the most comfortable car seats she has sat in. And she is not into cars at all!

Re: Any WWII airplane history experts?

I am always amazed how quickly after the second world war how many German cars were sold both in UK and USA after such a horrific war. My father had a cousin who had been on the infamous Burma railway and as can be understood struggled with people when he came home. He moved from near Edinburgh to a...
