New acquisition

Post by Schnellmann2 »

I sent my application for full membership a few days back and today picked up a car so now feel like a proper DDker!

I acquired a 2.7 RS lightweight tribute car. Based on a RHD 1972 2.4 E it was converted over ten years ago. It currently has a 2.7 engine (with cases from a genuine RS). It is green over white. I would post some pictures...if I knew how!

I had a fairly long drive to get it home but it was 99% motorways or dual carriageway so haven't had a chance to drive it properly yet. Hopefully will get a chance over the weekend. Need to find some decent roads near me in Cambridge.

I've seen it up close. I'm pretty sure I've poked about in the engine bay somewhere in deepest Deutschland.

I'll keep an eye out now tho.

Both these cars were sold from the same dealer. around 2005.
Mick, I'm sure you'll miss it just a wee bit.

My wife and I were lucky enough to take the rep on holiday with us. We had a great time driving to the ring and back. Fantastic car. Hope you enjoy her.
