Ever so slightly excited! Gary is bringing Kev back today then tomorrow its off to LongLife for an exhaust to be made up (thanks for pics Steve). If all goes well I should be able to collect on Friday with a shiney new tail too.

Don't forget your toothbrush. With your permanent smile you will need it together rid of the flies!

I hope your car gives you great pleasure.

Best wishes Stevie B.

Small problem though - fuel is leaking from the fuel cap! Dodgy cap?? Its directly screwed onto the tank under the hood. - update a new cap and seal is on order!

Paul, it looks bloody lovely in your pictures!

As for that cap... have you established where on the cap? Might need some new cork gaskets?

So, now you finally have it back, what's next?

Need to add some tunes, put the new steering wheel on, add a few badges and then start the real mods to improve the drive and steering - not sure what yet though.

Pretty impressed with the results from Gary though  Will take some non blurry pics at the weekend :)

Wondering about a cover for the hood too? Trouble is it hides my amazing back seat!

You sound way more pleased / happy and upbeat in comparison to when the previous people had the car.

Do you like it? I think it looks lovely. I want to see it next to mine when mine is on the road.

Basically yes but make sure they are the 3M type or they will forever fall of.

I think they stick on using impact adhesive. Pain of a job usually done slowly about 6 inches at a time.

car looks stunning ..I have the same problem with the fuel filler cap ,if i fill it to the brim i get a slight splash comes out of the seal in the cap i have tried different caps but still not 100% and you get a smell of petrol only slightly into the cab but only when filled to the max .
As to the door seal the first time i got mine and took it out i got caught in a thunderstorm it was biblical and water was pouring in through the passengers door and then discovered the seal was missing .
I got a couple from Chesil and fitted them was not sure the exact position that they had to go in and to be honest they where not the most helpful in trying to help me out just wanted to know if i bought the car from them what difference should it make, it was after all there kit to be fair they did send them very quickly and where only about £20 The position is important i think i may have a photo of mine fitted some where

went up to Volksworld today - didnt drive Kev though - bit far for 1st excursion! Its a bit of a mishmash of a show and inside is quite small and difficult to get around the show cars. Outside there appears to be no organisation and the stewards were crap letting 2 cars drive toward each other down roads where theres not enough room!

Treated it to a steering wheel centre, another fuel tank sender as the one on it now isnt working, finally found some wiper blades that work properly, and a gear knob that doesn't fit my empi shifter grrr

All ready for DubAid next weekend :)
