Barry
I would love to come along too.
I am quite happy with
lecture / discussion / demonstration
rather than hands on although it always nice to try things out. Experts like you usually make things look easy and they never are at all.
However already there are lots of people interested so just put me on a waiting list please.

Keep the replies coming (if there're any more): don't feel that it's 'full': I'll just see how we can work things out to the best advantage to everyone, not to mention our nominated charity.

P.S. 'No Knowledge' is fine, all welcome :) .

I'd be very interested if you run these courses, I have done quite alot of MIG, but only a very little TIG and would love to try some more. I've done some basic panels by hand before but need more practice on the curvy bits, which on a porsche are most bits!

Cant remember when I last paid up so will PM Bootsy and find out

I'd like to join this if I'm not too late already.

I have no hands on experience, but spent a lot of my youth in my dad's garage watching him making gates/swings/trailers/anything with his ARC welder & wrought iron.

My £100 beetle will benefit from any skills I pick up.

I'm in North Notts and would love to come but again it's a long way - depending on the dates would like to make the trip though.

Just a thought - Wizzman would you be prepared to do a similar Oop North version.

BTW I have NO welding experience but I've made a kitchen - I presume it's the same sort of thing

Sladey,

I would struggle to cater for a class . Really I meant one or two maybe to come and have a play on the welder and see how they get on with the basics and see how they progress.

I'm too buried in my own projects to offer any more at the moment and I need my SC on the road in April cos I aint missin another summer :) :)

I'd love to come if there are any spaces left.

I bought a MIG welder from a closing down sale 12 years ago and have never had the nerve (or know how) to switch it on!

Hi Barry,

I'm interested, was taught to gas and stick weld years ago, now improving with MIG, but need any help/advice I can.

Metal bashing has never been a strong point, but can use machine tools competently. Again, any help/advice will help me!

Just have to sort out membership, good push, thanks!

Regards
