I've been saying this for years it will come, but as 80% of Brits don't drive over in Euroland they are not bothered so any law changes will be easy to put though as there will be no one in number to vote against it..

But unless they are going to put a change to the signs and the MPH to KM's I can't see it is going to be that easy.. Human rights and all that.

I thought our government had already signed an agreement with a private collection agency which will allow them to collect foreign based fines?

Being a private agency there is every likelyhood of bailiffs being called it to collect

I know Cassis well, or used to..

An old fishing village ate the eastern end of the series of inacessible rocky fijords made famous as smuggling villages..

Chrchill painted the harbour ...

My wife and small son lived in the Eastern outskirts of Marseilles almost thirty years ago for three memorable months.

The place was axccessible by the coast road then..a series of fine sweeping bends punctuated by hairpins: the R5's and 2CV's of the day sqealed like pigs...

I had a BMW 1600..a fine handling car which never failed to flatter my drifting..and retruned over 50mpg driven carefully..

I was very frindly with the prorietor of the local vineyard..Domaine de Bandol.

One Dr. Christian Boutin, a truly gifted dilettante who drove a 911S Targa to work in Marseilles Centre Cancereuse every day.

I recall many meals cooked and eaten al fresco, burning the vine trimmings to flavour the meat.

Happy days.

Post a price for the carbs, and maybe some pictures..I'm sure many will be interested.

IMHO these have some advantages over ebers, and I can help source the parts to set them up for differnet engines too..

what a wonderful postreply for me...!!

I'm a young man (32 years old) but i always spent my time in Cassis. As you can see i'm loving old cars, and very intereted by 1955 - 70' years.

My grand father and mother were still living in Cassis, so maybe you meet Lucien, my grand father was working at the hotel " Les Roches Blanches ". He was a famous people of those years Cassis' life.

I'm very very happy to read your post. Cassis didn't change a lot anymore compared to other french riviera Cities, the charm of the city has been conserved.

The domain of Bandol, is not in Cassis (of course), so i don't know your contact.

I hope you will visit us again, why don't doing it next summer, with a Porsche of course...?

I think that the local wineyard was "La Ferme Blanche", or maybe "Bodin" sell by Mr Bontoux ...does it remind you something?
