Can you buy R flares? Or make them by cutting part of an RS flare? Or would you need to fabricate them yourself?

Don't know anywhere that does steel 911R rear flares - GT Racing however does a grp version:

Just looked at the website and noticed they don't do a fibre-glass engine lid for the R. Is that because it was aluminium? They do one for ST's, but it states 69+. Are the engine lids for swb and lwb different sizes? I thought they were the same.

John - the 'production' 911R's (all 20 of them !!) had grp engine lids. Only R3 (the 3rd of the 4 pre-production prototypes) had an aluminium engine lid.

I don't know why GT Racing doesn't list a 911R grp engine lid on their website (lwb lids do fit swb cars) - I got my carbon fibre version from Getty Design:

Andy - Noticed both the websites you mentioned are for companies in the US. Does it make financial sense to get stuff from there or is it just a quality thing?
