I have just picked up the 2.2S shell from the process guys. It has been stripped of paint, alkaline dipped to remove rust then E-coated to protect the whole shell inside and out.

Nick,
What sort of money does the job cost?
See this thread nick outlines the cost of chemical stripping and e-coating compared to blasting etc.

Am I right in thinking inside the sill there is some sort of plastic tube/insulation that surrounds the warm air tubes? Could a shell still be e-coated with these in place or would the outer sill and the air tubes need removing first?
Thanks Steve

The sill will need to be removed and the heater pipe also removed.
Alan
In this pic the outter sill has been removed and we are about to say goodbye to the inner one

Alan is it necessary to remove the inner sill if this is ok or do both need to be removed to get the heater tube out?
