It's not that unusual, early 1974 model year cars will have been built and delivered from autumn 1973, therefore a 1973 car by all of the paperwork.

I was more than happy to be educated on the matter, and it looks a beautiful car - a stunning colour.
1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

I did ask if it was a late 73 Chassis number but got told 'It is late 73 and advertised as such, VIN / Engine numbers etc are all correct. Quite common for these if you do some research'

That's me told.

The seller has revised the description - now states 'October 1973' ...

Seems very cheap but from a couple of photos looks like a race car that would take a bit of work to make it a road car
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

Lovely but grossly over restored, which is a shame. No longer resembles the race car with all its history.
