Having recently fitted a 915 5-speed non-tower shifter in my S, but with one of these bushings fitted, I’ve found it definitely makes a difference in reducing left-right play when in gear, especially helpful with this shifter compared to the arguably better ‘73-on tower shifter, so personally I recommend them.
