seat rail screws 72
Need some advice on screws to mount seat rails and rail support to floor.
MY72. A picture of an all original car would be nice.
best would be detail of head and brand.

Re: seat rail screws 72
My MY72 isn't exactly all original,
but I think this is one of the original seat rail mounting bolts. M6 x 15mm socket cap with a shallow head, 4mm deep. Unfortunately the original 50 years of "patina" have obscured any details that may have been there from new ..........

Hope this helps,
JW

Is it a shoulder screw or straight?
RIBE 8.8 or 10.9 visible on the head?
Allen size 4 or 5?

Re: seat rail screws 72
I bought a box of 200 of these low head socket cap screws a few years ago - I'll see if I can find them in the shed.

Re: seat rail screws 72
I have a February build 1973 T coupe.
The screws are as JW describes, but my screws have markings, reading RIBt and 2 other letters opposite them.
These markings are on the top face of the head.

Re: seat rail screws 72
If you (or anyone else) wants something that is very nearly correct I have these M6 x 16 low head socket cap screws with a 5mm hex recess and 10.9 head markings on the head circumference:

Let me know if you want me to pop some in the post?
