I've just seen that this 911 GT2 made £1,848,000 at auction - sturggling to work out how it's worth anything like this - anybody got a answer other than "its market value"?

The crazy prices were 80's 90's stuff
The 70's cars were sold at about the expected rate. 460 k for RST
What do these people do with these newer cars?Baffles me.
The awful Pre A Speedster for restoration made 235 K .
It will be total rebuild with lots of new parts required.
Didn't get it.At least the restoration merchants will charge 150 k plus to sort it.

Looks like one billionaire American bought most of them up. Mint one owner, original paint, stupid low mileage cars for the portfolio.

Money is not a factor in purchasing them. It was specific cars that were 'wanted'. Petty cash....

Being unmolested, well preserved example seemed to be factors in this case. Doubt anyone will do a nut and bolt bare metal restoration and destroy the patina/originality on this example, hopefully....

But not all GT2's are worth 1.8m Mark. Just this one was....most would be half that at BEST. So £300k-700k is probably about right and in line with everything else similar
