I'm replacing my pushrod tubes as they are leaking and a bit battered and cruddy.
Do i have to lower the engine to get some of the tubes out? Struggling with one at the moment and by the looks of it the only way would be to move the engine down - hopefully not though!

Doesn't answer your question but make sure you fit decent seals or they will still leak. Stateside tuning sell good Viton seals that fit well and seal good. Before fitting check for any small burrs on the head or case that might damage the seal.

Re: Replacing Pushrod Tubes
Pretty sure you can do them all but some require rods removed but partial removal of tubes. Kind of a juggling jiggling act as if the tube is right in you can't get the rod back in

Yes I've got the viton seals, and have cleaned, and cleaned the heads and case on the tubes I have replaced so far. Just 2 I cant get out - I think I will have to lower the engine a few inches. Damn!

Re: Replacing Pushrod Tubes
I'm changing the tubes as well as the seals - so the tubes need to come out - just the seals can be 'easily' done in situjackstowers wrote:Pretty sure you can do them all but some require rods removed but partial removal of tubes.
