What size/profile tyres are they please?

Getting the Lola Porsche suspension sorted tomorrow but also getting the 911T/3.2 ready for the Lavender Run 'rally' on sunday with 56 other classics.
Graham,

They are 205/60s and 225/60s on 7" and 8" rims. In hindsight I might have gone for 50% to give a little more clearance in the arches but we'll see how these do. I like the fat sidewalls of the 60s.

Thank you Charles, it was the front size of special interest.
I'm looking to have mine re-set after all these 'hillclimb' years and that looks great. :)

The DVLA sent me all the history they have on my car today. Interestingly it went from Tangerine to white and finally to red. One day it will go back to tangerine. It would be nice to trace some of the 12 previous owners to get a bit of history.

Bought four new tyres! Only needed one but... Punctured tyre from Le Mans wasn't worth repairing as it was at the wear limit, I couldn't find two tyres to match the front so four it was! Luckily I don't run these posh Avons or anything so it's not financial ruin :)

Came home from a hot day at work and decided to take the E, still wearing its CLM grime with pride, for a booze run to Tesco……

…..the wife asked me why I was taking the Porsche?….natural reply was 'because I'm a lucky son of a bitch and I can!' ….

…surprisingly had a battle in the car park for who had the coolest car when I came across this….

….not normally something to float my boat but some pretty cool details…

It's an interesting question Darren, given that everyone surely knows that Es are the coolest 911s…

But in any Top Trumps game, in the category of Coolest Car in the Supermarket Carpark, that wins hands down.

Should have done the Lavender Run today, but friends cried-off so didn't, 911 snoozed in the garage keeping the Lola Porsche company.

However, good as bought a new Skoda Tour de France tow car instead, hope to confirm the price and deal early tomorrow.
Great great car, and always wanted a Skoda.

Have i been 'marketed' by their sponsorship of the T de F? :cyclops:

Booked a trip for me and the 911 to Spa for the 24hr GT race this weekend! A bit last minute (and I don't have any tyres on the car at the moment...) but Bentley are funding camping, food and tickets so it seems rude not to get myself over there. :)

Bought some more seatbelts. Will this madness ever end?
1979 SC Targa - Long term project - in storage - purchased 10/16 - last looked at it in 08/18..
Fascinated with 911 seats and induction systems!

Previously
1973 911T in Gulf Blue (with 2.4E ITB's, EFI and EDIS) - from 07 till 16. Sorely missed.

Finally cracked  the electrical gremiln that has been plaguing the fuel pump for some time. This time I couldn't get the pump to work however much I poked about. I knew the problem was was linked to fuse box bus bar, and thought there was corrosion between the fuse post and the bar, as the meter reading at this point was unreliable. I have looked at the back of the fuse box several times, but decided to try and solder the bar to all terminals from the back. When I had cleaned up the brass I could see a straight line across it between fuse 2 and 3 - it had a crack - how? why? Crack now soldered and pump working :) I seem to think the (10 fuse) box is NLA, and forgot to bid on a NOS one on Ebay ages ago

Nice one - so every time you fiddle with the fuses you'd have sealed up the crack and made it work again - good to get it sorted
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah
