There are impact bumper cars and there are impact bumper cars. The 74/75/76 non US market Carrera is based on the RS mechanicals and same MFI engine and is seen to be a much more valuable car than the rest of the impact bumper cars. Particularly an early 74 build. Paul may have spent an awful lot on his restoration but I bet he won't lose when he comes to sell.

Ian.

LHD 74-76 Carrera 2.7s have been selling at €100K - €150K, but they are particularly expensive to restore correctly, as although they look the same as a 3.2, virtually every panel has slight differences which need to be corrected, and some parts are virtually impossible to find (e.g. headlamp washer jets, seat tipping release levers). These may be just small parts but to get the top price the cars need to be correct. If the car in the OP is complete it may be a viable for a full but expensive restoration.

But did they all have the snorkel type headlamp washers ?

I only ask because mine hasn't --- and I then found a red Targa with reg number 2 removed from mine --- that was exactly the same.

So both repaired or restored wrong ??

Headlamp wash (option M288) was introduced for 75MY, along with the body coloured headlamp rings

The headlamp washers were standard on the Carrera 3 but an option on the 2.7 Carrera. Yours however did have them as an option but the snorkel type have been replaced with later flush ones which didn't appear until mid way through 911SC production.
