I turned up in a 'proper' classic Porsche , there were a few others , including an early ( 1965? ) 911 in blue that looked like a Tuthilled job , might be a DDK owner , never got out a picture. Several cars were too modern to be classic.
Conditions were good , car had just been CenterGravitied ( thread on DDK 911 forum) , rear tyres a bit thin , datalogger installed.
The only downside was the GoPro camera had managed to discharge its battery somehow , so instead of being able to post some action video , could only take paddock pics on phone camera. A pity because I had rediscovered the art of overtaking and the '69E was mighty on the day , even noise tested at 96db !! Maximum vectorG pulled was 0.9178 on first part of Lavant bend , maximum speed corrected by GPS was 119 at top of 4th gear , just below 7200 rev limiter , tempted to change to 5th to save the engine but hey that noise is intoxicating.
Shock of the day was an early MGTA , wire wheels and skinny race crossplies , keeping same pace as me through both St Mary's and the following Lavant bend ....no indication of braking...must have been fun
Most interesting car ? Fiat Abarth......
