I've only been once.abm914 wrote:CLM Virgin questions
Am camping at KN so need to pay £147
If I want to sit in a grandstand then it ie an extra £17
If I want to have a parade lap then it is £142 but this includes infield parking and grandstand.
So questions are:
Do I need infield parking - or can you leave the car at the campsite and walk or are the 'happening' places miles away?
How many parade laps do you get?
Ad.
Regardless of how you get them I'd recommend the grandstand pass - you'll be knackered from walking around and it's nice to sit down somewhere where you can watch a bit of the action.
The parade laps seemed extortionate to me last time so I didn't bother. I regretted it and am doing it this time. It's the only chance you'll get to drive the full leMans circuit - the only people who normally do that are racing drivers or rich people - I am neither. I also think it's two laps but I'm not sure.
Infield parking - if you're camping I can't see the point - you can walk into the central area quicker than you can drive out of the camp site and queue to get into the parking area. Also I seem to remember hearing that there were traffic jams to get in and out of the infield parking - I don't recall seeing many jams to get in and out of the camp site. If the option you've chosen means it's included though all this is irrelevant.
Hope that helps
Mark

THIS FOR TRACKLAP PEOPLE ONLY !! - EVERYONE ELSE IGNOREabm914 wrote:Just got of the phone with Brian
He's about to send out a notice but the upshot is that we have to book entrance, grandstand, parade laps, etc through Porsche Club France.![]()
Paid for camping though!

yep .... this has caused us massive problems. Porsche Club France seem to be a 'special case' when it comes to Classic LeMans
Brian has tried REALLY hard to get this organised on our behalf but it just can't be done, so he has agreed the best solution is to offer only those who want tracklaps a camping only option for the DDK site .
If you are collecting your PCF package on Friday, make sure it doesn't clash with DDK's Friday morning meet on the Mulsanne

camping is separate as you are buying that from 1st-tickets ....... you will have received your camping passes in the post around the end of June.steve wright wrote:can someone clarify how this works? how do i get in on Thurs morning to the camping area if I can only pick up my admission tickets on Friday... or am I missing something?
Basically it as follows :
All those that have booked tickets & camping from 1st-tickets as part of the DDK package will have them posted in advance.
All those who are doing tracklaps will have received their DDK camping passes in advance but will need to collect their entrance tickets, infield passes etc etc on Friday from the PCF booth's outside the circuit.
The camping is accessible from approx Lunchtime on Thursday for all with camping passes. You do not need entrance tickets to access the camping on KN.

In the absence of any communication from Brian (yet) does this mean that 1st Ticket will be cancelling my order and I will now need to re-book with Porsche Club France?hot66 wrote: All those who have booked track laps will be getting a call from Brian. Brian will also be sending you an email to explain things , but basically it comes down to the fact PCF won't post out tickets in advance
Thx

Hi Martin, I spoke to Brian on Friday, keen to get sorted out by the end of the month. I am interested in the tracklaps, in which case, He`ll supply the camping passes only and send me a cheque for the overpayment I made sending him £134 as a deposit earlier in the year. Then I would go on to the Porsche Club France website and book everything else I need.
Here`s the link he sent me,
http://www.lmc2010-porscheclub.fr/index.php?id_lang=1
As it is, I couldn`t decide on the spur of the moment whether it was worth all the hassle to add the track laps to the package (and spend Friday morning queuing to collect tickets) so I asked him if it was OK if I called him back. He said he was away for the weekend but calling him Tuesday would be fine.
Hope this helps, Regards, Mike.

I spoke to Brian on Friday and he sent me the link to Porsche club France website and said that I needed the 'Week-end Accès (price clubs)'.
I booked this and also the track laps.
However looking at the details I do not think it included the grandstand in that package although it is mentioned in the other ones.
I will talk to Brian next week sometime.
