that is per-person based on 2 in a car. It is comparable to other packages available from other operators. I did a lot of research into the different options / packages / operators & considering everything I felt Brian @ 1st-tickets was the best option for DDK

The reason it is a bit more expensive than buying direct from ACO is that the only way to ensure we could all camp together in Karting Nord is to rent an area of land. Rather than split this bit of land up into small ACO sized pitches ( which are about large enough for a single car & tent ) we have split it up into larger plots + we have taken into consideration that cars need to move around during the weekend so have allowed space for road ways etc .

Last time I booked the camping for 35 - 40 cars direct with ACO, but this left me with an approx £3000 cheque to write & the trust I would receive all money in from DDKers ( which I did as they're all good eggs

) ..... this time I wasn't willing to do this & I wouldn't like any other DDK'er to be put in a position where they had financial exposure. When there are this many people / this much cash involved we unfortunately have to involve professional companies.

BTW, from my point of view I gain nothing from organising this apart from the knowledge I'm going to be having a good time as I'll be camping with fellow DDKer's on a trackside campsite

Still awaiting confirmation back from the French regarding tracklaps ...... so people know in advance, these are not cheap ..... I think it is estimated they might work out at £120 per car

Hi James,
I've registered/booked through 1st tickets a while ago and paid for the ferry separately but not been asked to pay anything for the camping and LeMan bits yet.

What are your expectations about when we will be asked to pay up ?
Not a problem at all, just don't want to miss out and was getting paranoid

about not having received anything official yet from 1st Tickets.

Thanks James - being a CLM novice I hadn't realised the costs that's all, which is my fault

I really do apppreciate the organising you do - and I am so looking forward to the whole experience especially the DDK camping extravaganza

Just submitted the form on the 1st tickets website, managed to convince my mate to come with me. I guess 1st tickets will contact me now with the package quote and then I provide payment on their website? Have you guys all paid up then?

James thanks for organising it. These prices seem very good. The only place I saw it slightly cheaper was Continental Car Tours (£169pp with ferry) but of course would rather be part of the DDK club. I think their campsite was inferior as well in terms of location.

No money has been paid yet, but once everything has been finalised 1st-tickets will be contacting everyone individually by email

Hi guys , added my details online awhile ago and got a conformation email from the ticket place stating they were sorting and would be in contact but nothing back yet to finally confirm and pay ? are they still getting bookings and yet to get to the final cut off ?

no requests for payment have been sent out yet. When it does you will get emails & I will announce it on teh forum. I'm expecting this will all happen in the next couple of weeks.

Apart from being a 'Mallagh' rather than a 'Mullagh' then all's well.
I asusme the number on the list is a booking number ?
It's somehow relieving to see name in print after registering a couple of months ago. Couldn't imagine missing this event as a Classic LeMans virgin.
