Nice pics indeed! The clearance between the back tyre and wing looks about 5mm! Were you just a little worried when you put the wheels on and lowered the car off the jack?

Re clearance, there is actually more room that you think, it has been raised 3/4 inch as it used to bottom out when the car was loaded up with 2 adults and 2 kids.
Re modern tyres, I agree, it would look a bit better, but I drive this car most days and I have had it built to modern specs so it is easy to drive and handles like no other 356 I have ever driven, some of which can be contributed to the lower profile tyres and suspension set up.
