On all 911 doors there is a strap which stops the door from opening to far. On this and all our resto cars we fit new straps (check straps) but when fitted with the original pins supplied by Porsche the doors tends to click and thud when they open. This is due to the strength of the new strap and also enlarged holes the pins sit in on the A-post. For this reason we make our own door pins which are measured and fitted to each and every door. On one of the doors on this 2.4 the hole where the pins fits was different from top to bottom and thus the pin had to have a step in it so it fitted correctly. The problem with this is the step meant the pin had to be inserted from the bottom and would thus not look original. We therefore made a separate top hat that screwed into the top once the pin was fitted. I know no one will ever see this but it worked perfectly.

All loom and electrics re-fitted, new headliner, carpets etc.





Recaro seat frames have been fully stripped and refurb'ed. As this is a 73 it has the twin locking mech on the seat frames.

The cowl for 69- cars use 4 x M4 x 10mm cheese head screws from the front (ie where the horn plate sits) and 2 x M3 x10mm from the side. I have lots in stock if you need some.

The wheels are now polished and ready to be re-anodised



Window trim has been re-anodised





and the recaro sport seats have been re-trimmed in leather (we actually did these a few weeks ago so excuse the dust)

The refit is going well.

Rear bumpers back together. Rather than buy new the trims were stripped and re-anodised.
