Help! I need an engine

Update

My car should be ready for Heddingham however Andy Prill has been let down on the engine he was hoping to have for me.

The engine that came with my car is not worth upgrading, it will make a good 60hp engine for another car, but i am looking for at least 120hp.

Roger Bray has very kindly offered me an engine to use for Heddingham, but still leaves me without an engine long term.

Does anyone know of a good fast engine either B or C that i could buy, it dosnt have to be perfect as Andy will work his magic on it, it needs to have all the tin work etc, as my engine didnt have any of that.

All help is appreciated.

I got told from laurie petitt about this engine for sale at john forbes place in Edinburgh(apparently he's closing down:

I think Laurie said he wanted £2k for it, I beleive its a 1720cc

Try Chicane Classics in Hampshire (0118 9326973) who are advertising a 1720cc engine built from an industrial donor in this months Porsche Post (p117). May have gone by now but it may be worth a call (POA!).
