Current 356 prices?

Yes Steve, I thought the same about the Breakfast meeting format at Goodwood. The 2006 and 2007 events seemed better in format than last year. It is great though to have a FOC event which is so well organised complete with parking marshals etc and food if you want it.

If you combine the breakfast meetings with either the F.O.S. or the revival then the event cost is really offset by the amount of fun you can have. Our Lord March certainly knows how to please the car loving public.

As you know Si I was extremely distraught at giving up my 3.2 but you know what? I have never looked back - I certainly wouldn't have managed to get my 2.4S had I not moved it on so don't worry, it might not be as bad as you think!

Thanks Hendrik. When I first bought the 356 and mentioned that I wanted to do some period mods etc I was warned to make sure I had deep pockets. It's true. Lucky it's easy to justify!!

Thanks for the words of support Steve! I'm already thinking that an early '70s Alfa Giulia could be the "good daily runner/ modern" (well, it would be modern compared to a 1958 356..

) and still freeing up the right money to crack on with the 356....

The thread on "general" about "what other classics do you tinker with" has really fired me up....!
