Current 356 prices?

Hi, could anyone give me just a rough guide on price ranges for decent (i.e. not wrecks but neither concourse) A's, B's & C's coupes

The more I search the net the more confused I get!

Any input gratefully received.

It's almost impossible to give prices on cars as no two cars are the same any more. If you are looking for one, just buy the best one you can find and then expect to spend some more!

Steve - great to hear you may be thinking of a 356! I got mine from Ritchie King at Karmann Konnections - top bunch of guys down there and I would 100% buy from them again. I would equally recommend Paul at PR Services, both top companies to be dealing with if you're in the 356 market and both will treat you fairly.

I hope you have as much fun choosing your one as I did mine...!

as with all cars you will pay loads more from a dealer. i'm always looking at cars for sale and it does seem like an odd time at the moment and difficult to calculate true values due to the exchange rates.

Good to hear from you - hope all is well.

Thanks for the recommendations. I don't think I'll be happy unless I've had a 356 (would also like a lovely 912 in my non existant garage!) but I go from the sublime to the ridiculous - i REALLY want a Carrera 2 or that sublime Mille Miglia eligible 356A Carrera 1500GS at MP-P. As per usual my Champagne taste is funded by a Cava budget.

Are you in a better position this year to attend some events? Fancy a Breakfast Club run when they start? Hedingham should not be missed (if it's happening this year - it had better!)

Best 356 coupe i've seen for sale at the Moment is Hendricks 356B.

seriously if i didn't already have my c then i'd have snapped this car up. and i'd have saved myself a fortune as its going for about half what its cost me to get my 356c on the road and actually working.

EDITED: just seen Hendricks signature.. is the 1962 coupe sold now?

I have a deposit on the B. The guy is on holiday for a couple of weeks so the deal will be done by the end of the month........hopefully. He seems serious though, went to look at it and decided straight away, no messing about unlike some others......

Steve - yep, looking much better for attending events this year. I'm already booked on to the DDK Winter Warmer in Feb, arranged thru 912 Reg and going over to Andy Prills - should be good!

Definitley up for the Breakfast Clubs - I think the first one is April? I really want to get to as many of those as possible this year, plus FoS or Revival!

Is there some uncertainty about Hedingham then?!? Surely not - IMHO it's the best event of the year for early Porsche....

yes as far as i am aware Castle Hedingham is on 7th June 2009. PCGB are claiming as one of their main events.

Is your car back from PRS? Everything in order?

Still waiting on Goodwood to announce dates for the BreakClub meets. I'm hoping they're going to change the themes back to the 2007 format (countries) rather than the less succesful themes of last year ('Gone in 60 Seconds, etc.) which, to me, didn't appear as well attended (I stopped going!) but we'll have to wait & see I guess

Whatever, any excuse to take the car out

Yep, all back from PRS. I mainly had a load of preventative work done, replacing rubber/ boots underneath, but also had a new clutch and some other bits seen to. Took it out for it's first drive in about 3 months last weekend and loved it. I've been thinking lately that it is actually easier to drive than the 3.2 - you really notice how the steering is easier (but just as informative) and of course around town it is one of the smallest cars going, so gets in to any tight spots! I love it! Hoping to do dual circuit brakes and switch to adjustable Konis this year - but all depends how work goes of course...

It is now firmly set as the one car I do not want to sell. The 3.2 may go up for sale this year

(to help fund more work on the 356 and let m get a cheap modern for daily commute), but the 356 must stay...!!!
