Well I've finally made it all the way to Porsche ownership
I live just outside Belfast and have competed in various from of motorsport for the past 30 yeears. Until a few years ago I concentrated on Hillclimbs, with varying degrees of sucess, having driven sportscars, single seaters and historic saloon cars, both at home and in GB.
Here's a pic of my Jedi Suziki at Garron Point on the Antrim Coast

Looking for a change I then moved into Classic Road rallying and bought a Lancia Fulvia HF 1600, which I ran for the past two seasons in the various Irish classic events, here we are on the 2008 TDC Classic

However, a 911 appeared on the horizon, and the Lancia had to go :D
So here it is, it's a 911T chassis, which has passed through various hands ( I'm told it arrived here from Scotland at some point) and never quite made it back onto the road. Along the way this 1970 car seems to have acquired a 1972 model shell (see side oil filler), so it's never going to be one of the "matching numbers" prime examples.

The chassis is totally sound and all the suspension bits have been rebushed and checked, so now its down to the engine & box. And guess what I have 2 !!
A 2.2S with a early 915 box and a 3.2 with the oil cooler 915 in tow. So it's decision time, which way to go?
I've put the 3.2 unit up on the For Sale section but to be honest I haven't totally decided to sell it, and might opt for the grunt of the big motor over the purity of the 2.2.
So it's nice to meet you all and I hope you don't mind if I ask a few dopey questions on the way
