HI ALL.

I NEED HELP.(i have no connections in this field so would have to pay full retail and VAT) with having some ddk goodies made to sell for charity. these can be anything from sweets, mugs, pens, badges, stickers, t-shirts, keyrings, high visability jackets,

in fact anything you can think of that might sell.

Too right.

Helen, I'll get some button badges produced.
Consider it done (along with the pull-up banner stands).

Helen, I'll do a stock check at the weekend and let you know all you can have for the stand - will include Le Mans T Shirts, stickers in various designs, few key rings (possibly if i have any) and anything else I can find!

Helen,

Have you thought of anyway of getting the ddk website interactive on the stand?.
I could get a projector (or use the plasma?) and laptop if they have a wireless network we could join.

Cheers

yes, great idea, sounds easy dosn't it ?

BUT,

Not got any electric connection to the stand. this is our (my) first year so i am keeping it simple and see how it goes. we can develope things if this proves to be a success.
i have not been finding Clarion Events very easy to deal with. communication is almost impossable as they seem to have diffrent departments and people(who don't communicate with each other) for everything.
i would guess it gets easier once you know the system/rules but at the moment its just leaving me confused and frustrated.

Helen: I've just had a word with Macmillan.

Given our history with them, they are happy to supply collection boxes, plus we have all of the Macmillan show merchandise at our disposal.

This includes banners, leaflets, T-shirts, stickers etc etc etc. They are also perfectly happy to supply us with a 'Comedy Cheque' (their words, not mine): i.e. a giant cheque for amounts raised so far. I 'chequed', and they have got someone who can write it up for us (as opposed to me, with my drunken spider scrawl). If we prefer, we can have 'Thank You' laminations with our total to date instead.

I've got some info coming out to me with all that's available, and will update you (Helen) as to what options there may be for merchandise. They reckon that they could have everything together for mid-September, and so I could bring everything to Wales if required.

Nice badges BTW Mr Ferryman.

P.S. Apologies for my lamentable lack of updates on the charity thread: I'll try to get it sorted next week. I can assure everyone that the actual paperwork / cheque posting / proof of Macmillan receipts are all up to date though :) . As ever, 'the book' is always available to anyone who wishes to view it.

wow, thanks Barry that sounds fantastic, giant cheque sounds good BUT i don't think i will have anywhere to display it so the laminated thank-you, total to date notice would be better.

Helen, if I don't make Wales, I'll make sure the Macmillan stuff gets posted to you well before the event so that you've got plenty of time to plan ahead :) .

Hi Barry,

I will be down in Sussex in mid October so could call by and pick it all up to save postage and take it to the show when I take my car over on the Thursday?
