First 356, hello DDK!

Post by roboguy »

Hi all,

I've just recently purchased my first 356! It's a gorgeous RHD 1957 356A coupe. I can't wait to take it out for drive, but I've got to sort out garaging in London before I can pick it up from it's previous owner.

Anyway, a few pics:

I've sent my registration form off so should be a fully fledged DDK member soon. I'm really looking forward to being part of this club!

It's my first 356, first Porsche, and first classic car so expect lots of questions coming soon!

Cheers,
James

Hi
if you get really stuck for storage I could wrangle you a stay in the batcave in Kensington, your little car could keep my dead '57 company and a bunch of other interesting junk too, just until you can sort something long term,
I am a person of simple pleasures so if you don't have any simple pleasures to offer me, beer, pizza or Porsche bits etc kindly leave me be, XX.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the positive comments and especially for the offers of help with storage! I think I may have something sorted just around the corner from my place, just waiting on the agent to sort out the remote door openers.

Paul, I have definitely heard of you guys - I actually contacted you a few months ago when I first started looking around. I'll pm Mike about the details of my car. I'm off to check out your blog updates now!

Cheers all for making me feel welcome.

Hi James, welcome to DDK & Porsche ownership.

oh what a lovely looking 356. 8) i am a recent convert to the 356, these cars are such a joy to drive. its great to drive a porsche that dosn't risk loosing your leicence yet still puts a huge smile on your face everytime you go out in it.
