Hello all.
I have never seen this fault before!
It looks very much as though the guide cam loose in the head, slid down and made contact with the valve head.
Is this confirmed by the postmortem findings?
Is the head cracked, or was the guide bore oversize?
Kind regards
david

Heres a pic from my old S when the valve shot through , after the valve guide gave way.
