Re: Fuchs Wheel refurb
Bootsy, the biaggio link doesn't work, it takes me to an ebay page but nothing about him.

Re: Caffeine & Machine Air & Oil 23rd June
I should be there around 1745-1800, given traffic on the M42/M40.

Re: Caffeine & Machine Air & Oil 23rd June
Excellent! Will be good to catch up. My own plans have gone fluid again as my Dad is seriously unwell and ended up in hospital whilst he was visiting us this weekend, probably for the last time. I’m hoping things will stabilise and I can get him back home (120 miles south). I really need some time ...

White Targa on the 452 at the 449
Saw the car on Saturday night, about 1800 and wondered if it is someone from here?

Re: Engine cover lid opens
Quite possibly not adjusted properly... there is a small hole in the cover of receiving part of the latch and a similar size hole in the opening arm below that. For correct adjustment put a small screw driver through both holes then tighten up the cable clamp. Under normal adjustment you should alw...

Engine cover lid opens
Question, I think this is a minor adjustment but would appreciate any expert comments. The lid does not lock in place. I can push it down and it opens without any issues. I've tried putting both WD40 on the mechanism to keep it lubed, latch seems to work well. Can I make a simple adjustment to the s...

Re: Tyres
I watched when it was on Italian TV Chasing Classic Cars, and Wayne Carini (perhaps sponsored by Hagerty) seems to use them. I just had a quote on a 360 Ferrari from Hagerty, Aviva and my bank (insure my daily drive), and Hagerty was about 40% more expensive. My bank 6 times more expensive than Aviv...

Re: Tyres
Hard to say. Insurers have their own criteria. I am with RH, and had good results, and the best prices. Before hand I was with Classicline. I had to move away for some reason. Hagerty was always a bit more expensive.

Re: Tyres
If the insurance company was a pain, they could say the 195/65 x 15 tyres are a mod, undeclared. My insurance has been pretty good and my car, aside from the torsion bars and bushings, has no undeclared mods.

Re: Tyres
Did you go Dunlops? Nothing like a fresh set of tyres on a car! I went with the Dunlop Blue Response 195/65x15V. Made in Poland, the rubber is very sticky so the rubber is new. The old Pirellis (P6s but not the P6000 design) were hard, so I can understand why the car handled abit strange. And yes, ...
