Re: GT Seat questions
Thanks a lot - those last comparison photos look very close At 5'8'' (give or take an inch or two!!), I don't want to be sitting any lower than I am for visibility out and over the steering wheel !!! yes short arse problem there - although I think I am average height! Also I suspect the firmness of ...

Re: GT Seat questions
I have always fancied a set of GT / speedster seats in my A !!
One thing I have worried about is how low you sit in the car ?
In comparison to the standard seats are you sitting any lower ?
Regards Jeremy

Re: Dropped spindles - any options?

Re: Any 356 for sale ?
This looks like a good price for a well sorted restored car. Although as said - quite a few of us would prefer something less perfect and useable that we can drive and park with less worry. It will be interesting to see where this ends up. Totally agree - lets get our cars out on the roads where the...

Upgraded steering box on my 356A
Just finished installing a ZF steering box in the 56
Seems to have improved the handling. More stable and
less wandering.
I think this was well worth the effort.

Have you checked that the washer is the right way round as it will be shaped on the inside on one side to fit over the end of the spline - it will only work one way
Also it is probably the drum touching the back plate which is making the metal on metal noise
