Re: PCGB - An evening with Rod Emory (3 dates)
Fun evening! Nice to meet you Kevin (owner of many 914's) not sure of you name on here?! Good to meet you Ollie. For those going to Portsmouth this evening, enjoy. https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/69097653_2569364013126199_5235028228552261632_o.jpg?_nc_cat=103&_nc_oc=AQlOI5D7vm1Sf3...

Re: Time for a new exhaust
Hi Paul, I have a NOS standard exhaust I picked up from a VW show some time back, I'm not sure if anybody makes a standard original style 1.7 exhaust now. The one available seems to be a 2.0 litre one with a different tail pipe? Steve I just like to point out the 1.7 exhaust that you said they seem...

Re: Oil temperature sender
The original 914-4 200° sender is the same length as the 911 replacement. The difference between the two is the connection on the end. The original had a spade connector while the replacement 911 one has a disc. It has been common practise to use the 911 200° sender for sometime as the original is N...

Re: Weber 40IDA3c Parts
I buy my spare parts from Southern Carburetters http://www.southerncarbs.co.uk/ and they supply genuine parts and I have found that they have stock of many of the parts required. Phone them as most parts are not listed on the website. Some of the parts I ordered from Eurocarb in the past I was not h...

Re: Fuel pump
Great - thank you for the information. OPC is about 300 - is that crazy money? Yes the one from Porsche Part No. 043 906 091 is very expensive and no longer available from Bosch. The original 75-76 914 fuel pump was Bosch No. 0580 463 010 and had slide on spade connectors. It was superseded to 0580...

Re: Fuel pump
The 75-76 factory fuel pump is longer than the opening... it mounts to one side on the cover so you can put one end in first to get it to fit in the hole.

Re: Engine bits n bobs needed
what about the ones that Design 911 have? They say one is a genuine Porsche one for £141 and they also have a Hella one for £89.95. The pictures look nothing like the original ones but assume they are library pictures. Has anyone got any experience of the Design 911 ones? Just to let you know that ...

Re: Oil temperature sender
I also ordered a sender from cool air. Having only just sorted the fuel pipes i'll get this plate installed this week and see if the sender/vdo works or if i can get the dash gauge to work i'll be much happier. Just to let you know the original 914-4 temperature gauge in the centre console or dial ...

Re: WTB 914 passenger footrest
I think I have one, I'll check the loft tomorrow. I'm not sure if there are two shapes, I'm sure I read something on 914 world that suggest there may be. Dean I think you are talking about the foam pad block behind the passenger carpet and not the early footrest commonly known as a ‘Dog Bone’ that ...

Re: RHD 914 on Ebay
This RHD is not a Crayford, it is a poorly done home conversion. The handbrake lever (which I'm not quite sure what it's off) is mounted under the dash in the centre. Where the dash has been cut and repositioned, black electrical tape has been used to cover the cuts up! The Crayford RHD had a...

Re: fuse box cover
If you only want a fuse cover and not worried about having the symbols on it which were used on the 914 version then use the VW 12 fuse cover 111 937 555D which just has 1-12 on it. It is only £2.44 from VW Heritage at the moment. http://www.maggiolinomania.com/images//Apparecchi%20elettrici/1119375...
