DDK Scottish Highland Tour 2007 – Initial interest
It’s the event you have all been waiting for…….
Mike (210bhp) and myself would like to invite you all to attend that inaugural DDK Scottish Highland Tour which will take place over the second May Bank Holiday weekend of 2007.
The route has not been finalised but the overall plan is to meet up on Friday 25th night in a hotel in the Scottish Borders. This should give everyone travelling for the south the opportunity to break up the journey north.
Saturday would be made up off a mixture of great roads and some great Scottish sites arriving in the evening at our hotel somewhere north of the Trossachs. Sunday would be a loop of great roads and great scenery with the overnight stop being back at our hotel.
Monday’s route would be in a southerly direction so that by early afternoon people would be in a position to quickly access the motorway system and get back home. It is our intention to make this tour passenger friendly. Our stops would be of interest to everyone and our location would be very suitable to anyone that wants to spend the day hill walking.
For any of you that have never been to Scotland I can guarantee that you will see some of the greatest roads and scenery that Scotland has to offer and I can assure that you will want to come back for more.
If you are interested please post a reply. We are initially looking for rough number before going away and getting hotel and pricing details.

Quite happy to organise a stop over in this area for those travelling from the South. We are a good half way point.Gilbert '71 T wrote:DefinatelyWe were talking about this at Goodwood on sunday, and were thinking of an overnioght in yorkshire to link up with the northerners for the final run up as well.
Let me know if you want this sorting out too

I think it's unlikey I'll make this: can't really see the car being finished by this time, or at least not finish and tested for this distance.
Sounds great though: having seen Brendan's pictures it will be stunning

Guys I don't think that you will need to organise a stop over in the North of England as we are planning the first night to be in Southern Scotland. You are looking at no more than an hours travel from aroiund Kendal to the first hotel.
