Re: RHD ST rep
That's my old car!
Bought it from a very nice Irish man in Belfast and had a great drive home (down to Dublin, ferry crossing to N Wales, home to Oxfordshire). It was a very well restored RS rep at that time, with original 2.2 engine and gearbox. Owned if for 18 months and then decided I was bored with 911s and sold it to Sam at Paul Stephens, who then sold it onto DSD. Bought my e type in its place!
The original restoration/RS conversion was done by the owner pre the guy I bought it from. He owned a body shop and took years to do it and made an amazing job of it. The panels and paint were amazingly well done.
Car was originally Blut Orange with a sunroof when it first hit the road in 1971. It was also grey at one point according to the history that came with the car. It's been through some interesting changes overs it's lifetime.

Re: RHD ST rep
Annoyingly JZ Machtech ad's never feature an engine bay picture and it's the engine/s of this particular car that I guess are suppose to go someway to justifying that price.
So we don't know about respective injection systems and what the mfi pump is for instance, a really important part of a car like this. As for it's looks, what's the rear wheels, black bonnet and rear lid about, are they supposed to replicate a known ST or couldn't the builder be bothered to paint them. Somebody obviously couldn't be bothered to fill all the holes in the front bumper so maybe that gives an indication of the general build quality.
As for the rear arches, near seen an ST with them that shape, and why the beetle exhaust box.....

Re: RHD ST rep
Agree Mike, a bit more detail about the correct trick bit's would help justify a phone call from an interested buyer.
Like you i would want to know about the engine type numbers, mfi Pump, coolers, 100 litre tank etc. The big ticket items are what justify the price of these cars.

Re: RHD ST rep
Well the roll cage is not MSA compliant as it has two bends in the front 'A' pillar legs. Only one bend is allowed.
For that price surely it should have ST arches and be tangerine as per the works cars
