Porsche mechanical help needed in / near glasgow

Post by Del »

Can anyone help and or recommend someone?

My friend has a 912. (my old car which I bought off uncle Keith, see my signature)

It is misfiring and apparently the misfiring has caused cracks in the sports muffler.

When I owned the car, I had the carbs set up just the once by an old boy that used a length of pipe amongst other implements, one end in the carbs, one end in his ear, and they were perfect the entire 2-3 years I owned it.

The car also has an oil leak coming from somewhere near the oil filter. Poor car needs someone trustworthy and someone that really knows and understands these cars to get it working right again.

Thanks in advance as always.

Not sure about the west coast but you could perhaps phone Mike Bainbridge as he may know of speciallists in the Glasgow area.

You could try RPM on Maryhill Road (Graham Crombie - 0141 946 0666). I know he deals with early and modern Porsches or Motortune out at Shotts (01501 822247)

BTW saw the car park in Glasgow yesterday and posted a couple if pics on Was it you :)
