Post by Rustbucket »

Well, seems someone lied about his race position on Sunday....

This might not be the end of it. He could be kicked out of the championship.

But it's not the first time he has lied....Why are you moving to Switzerland? - "To get away from the UK press and also for the lovely mountains etc...."

And during the Ferrair spygate he knew more than he said it court.

Not great for both his and Mclaren squeeky clean image.....

I see Dave Ryan has now resigned over it and LH is saying he was coerced into it. I can't understand how dumb Maclaran have been trying to cheat given the cloud they are already under in F1 over the spying saga.

Farce- I want to know the result at the end of the race, not days later. I must spend close to 2K per annum going to GPs' beginning to wonder whether I will bother in the future.

Its very sad really.
Add this to the stewards inquiry to Buttons car design, which could still mean he is disqualified too?

Agreed. Having now read up on what happened I'm afraid I agree that they were in the wrong and are paying the price!

Good job footballers never get accused of trying to deceive the ref, their would be no players left on the pitch!

But it is bad form, Maclaran should know better, whats sport without sportmanship? :?

Dave Ryan, a 35 year McLaren man has not resigned. He has been suspended and is more than likely going to have to carry the can for Hamilton and also Whitmarsh (who should go).

Radio 5 live this morning were reporting he had resigned over it. I guess they were wrong. Can't trust the BBC these days...

I have a feeling there is going to be more price to pay.

I think they got rid of Dave Ryan in the hope that the FIA let them off the hook - as if to make it look as though they have dealt with it "internally". Yeah right!.... I think Max is going to have a field day thinking about how to punish them,

True. And the irony of it all is that Lewis did not originally do anything wrong!

It was his team that told him to yeild the position. Had they been completely up front and open, i have a feeling the stewards would have understood the teams error in asking Lewis to give the position back as they were erring on the side of caution, and Lewis would have been awarded third at best, and been left at 4th at worst. Instead, all this horrible dirty mess. Totally unavoidable and totally McLaren's own doing.
