Angus
I think I noticed a Dansk advert in a recent Classic Porsche - I think they're being reproduced now. Worth checking if nothing pops up here?
Good luck.

Oh gosh....I think it's the only other classic (reasonably affordable, but still out of reach) that I lust after....

Re: Battery chat
I hear you Graham.... BUT for those of us who get a little carried away, the battery swap to a lightweight version (and there are lighter versions than the Odyssey PC680) represents a very significant weight saving at very little cost - it must be about the most cost effective, short of throwing thi...

Re: LED Lights for our cars - The answer to my fears?
Hi All After a recent weekend "spring" rally through amazing, remote roads, and a bit of rain, I've convinced myself to order a set of LED lights for the entire car from bettercarlighting.co.uk. I'll also be converting my new Cibie Pallas light to LED. Does anybody have recent experience t...

Re: Battery chat
Gents My roughly 3 week experience of the Odyssey PC680 which is unfeasibly small and light....is one of disbelieve!! This is in a 3.2 with Motronic, mounted sideways and it has coped amazingly well. Very impressed! PS - I suspect that Motronic would be more sensitive to voltage variations etc. than...

Re: Trailing Arm - Bent/Damaged?
Thanks Chaps I measured on a flat granite work surface and the pictures show the results - worryingly I don't think one can one get flatter than that? Next step is to measure as suggested above, although it'll be rudimentary. Stop Press! I've cracked and put though a call to Porsche Centre Cape Town...

Re: Trailing Arm - Bent/Damaged?
Thanks Graham That's what I would have thought but two very experienced folk in South Africa have suggested they'll be fine - one suggesting the bushes and inbuilt "adjustability" will take this problem away, the other suggesting that arms are different such that the car "pulls straig...

Trailing Arm - Bent/Damaged?
Hi All I'm in the middle of upgrading the steel trailing arms (on my 3.2 engined hot-rod) to aluminum arms, which I've had vapour blasted and sorted out the pre-73 ball-pin mounting for roll bar (on the later arms), thank you Mike Bainbridge for some helpful hints! So my question - when standing the...

Re: Cibie Pallas - my most sheepish question ever?
Those car-bone ones look suspiciously like Eric's, and I must say they're fantastic quality which is not something one can say about modern reproductions of anything very often! I've not yet wired mine in but will do so when I have the time. I might even look at an LED replacement bulbs to take less...

Re: Cibie Pallas - my most sheepish question ever?
Graham Have a look - without stating obvious this mounting leaves little latitude between bonnet edge, headlights and the little grilles where downward facing "opening" tab at the bottom of the light interferes. I actually ended up gently bending the tabs such that they face forward and no...

Re: Cibie Pallas - my most sheepish question ever?
Hi Graham Just finished mounting today, in same position as you suggest. I think it looks great, have wanted these for years but they're so damned expensive it's taken me ages to "sell" to myself! I haven't compared to other replicas but Eric's look fantastic quality (and he does have a tr...

Re: Solid, non sun-roof 911 roof
Good call and hope it comes through! Regardless of whether this is a consideration, I think it'll add at least as much value as the cost. Nothing looks better or more pure than a coupe imho, although this is a coupe, sort of  , but not pure! My controversial statement of the weekend.......Simp...

Re: Cibie Pallas - my most sheepish question ever?
Thank you Andy!
Once I plucked up enough courage to yank the tab it became crystal clear! 60 seconds to open and dismantle entirely! Yes I do feel a little sheepish....
BTW it is Eric's product - looks lovely quality!
Cheers
