Steering wheel help

So I have this wheel lurking at the back of my garage. 901 347 08105 Is the 380 mm an outside diameter or inside the rim? It needs recovering or I could add a puck. Any help identifying what it came from appreciated. Thanks Rich https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200503/7b043d8476d4349ebff6b577522d0...

Looks lovely. Not heard of Trofeo Cars nor a RHD T/R. But then I can’t afford one either!

Re: 987 Cayman S

Sam, I agree with Everything you said. However, how much are they to replace? Aston has a nightmare with them and the costs are eye watering. The Aston ones are also extremely good in the same way you mentioned and are very light. From memory it’s £8k for front disc and pads, £7k for the rear. (At a...

Re: 987 Cayman S

Great work and a cracking car. Those PCCBs would have been an expensive option for the original buyer! Are they much better than the standard ones ?
Looks great, cheers

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

Hi, sorry for the delay, home schooling is such fun! The car was originally signal orange and painted 20 years ago in glasurit gulf orange. I had some paint done and it matched perfectly. I don’t think I would need to do too much to it for hill climbing. It is no. 40 off the line in July 1969 but a ...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

Buying a build slot from Darren?
There’s a business idea.... for Darren!
I would love to be able to do it myself but I know my limits. Not sure who else I would trust after some of the horror stories on here.
Anyway, sorry for the thread drift.

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

Yes it is a long way. But I’m planning on taking 10-14 days round trip. It looks a fab hill climb with some real STs and a low key event. With all this time to reflect, its time to plan and make the most of when it’s all ‘over’. Didn’t realise the 40 Weber’s would be ok at that sort of capacity. Goo...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

The ride height is set at the international standard of Crispins two fingers between the tyre and the arch at the rear, so to speak. The engine was serviced by Gary Cook and yes it has standard cams. The Weber’s were rebuilt, SSIs and a full service. Gearbox checked and resealed by Mike Bainbridge. ...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

It probably will be saved from the wide arches! I wanted an ST rep before it became fashionable and now feel that I missed out. I probably can’t bring myself to cut up a rust free car. Using Darrens mongrel as the high water mark, I would be pleased to get the engine anywhere near that. But engines ...

Re: Porsche for sale of the day..........

It also has a lightweight flywheel and a quaife LSD so surely its a hotrod... Its mine and I started a resto thread on here. After finishing it, I realised I couldn't make CLM so decided to sell it at the end fo Feb. Not the best timing.... So in the event it doesn't sell, Im planning a road trip in...

Re: Getting a car that isn't a 911

Sam, We had a chat at CLM 2 years ago and I was trying to convince you to buy an Aston then! The V8 Vantage is a bargain and properly bullet proof and easy to work on the simpler stuff. They are really cheap now. Buy 07 or newer. The V12 Vantage is mental. Properly nuts. Brakes can expensive on thos...
