This looks like a decent little hot rod.

Agree, looks a nice car that would be very useable.
Do webers and seats make a hotrod?

My 911 t had a 2.2 on webers when I got it, nice combination esp if you go touring.

Not unless you also remove the wheel centres.

It also has a lightweight flywheel and a quaife LSD so surely its a hotrod...
Its mine and I started a resto thread on here. After finishing it, I realised I couldn't make CLM so decided to sell it at the end fo Feb. Not the best timing....
So in the event it doesn't sell, Im planning a road trip in September from the Revival down through France and Switzerland ending at the Bernina Hillclimb. Hopefully my eldest will come with me before he heads off to uni.
Obviously there are a lot of unknowns before that road trip can happen but I've got to plan something!
Then I will spend the winter putting on ST arches quad cibies and funding a Nick FJ twin plug engine...

every cloud and all that!
cheers

It probably will be saved from the wide arches! I wanted an ST rep before it became fashionable and now feel that I missed out. I probably can’t bring myself to cut up a rust free car. Using Darrens mongrel as the high water mark, I would be pleased to get the engine anywhere near that. But engines like that cost so much!
Maybe I will just do hill climbs....

I like it. All I’d do is lose the bumper trims and take a bit out of the ride height. Oh and strip all that goop they’ve put on the tyres.

Is the motor on standard cams? All a 2.2T needs is a few more revs.

The ride height is set at the international standard of Crispins two fingers between the tyre and the arch at the rear, so to speak. The engine was serviced by Gary Cook and yes it has standard cams. The Weber’s were rebuilt, SSIs and a full service. Gearbox checked and resealed by Mike Bainbridge. It goes very well but the next level would be a 2.5 with twin plug. I guess though I would have to take the carbs to 46 mm ( currently 40 mm Weber’s) And so it goes on, oil cooler etc etc...

That Swiss hill climb is quite a run from here! It would be a great trip mind.

I would think 40mm webers will be good for the 2.5.

That isn't going to be cheap and I bet the Fulljames engine build backlog is huge. Most of them in the queue are going to be Darren's though, so perhaps you could buy a build slot?
