Trustan 23

Post by team914 »

Does anyone know if Trustan 23 or the same rust treatment product in a different guise is still available.I have searched the web with no real progress. My last bottle had the Wheatcroft Company as the packer/manufacturer,but I have drawn a blank on this as well?

Thanks

Trustan 23

Hi Nige
Sorry for the late reply.A good friend in Northern Ireland who is restoring two 1969 911s suggests that the dinitrol is inclined to leave a "skin",which he fears may affect paint application.I have discovered an alternative rust converter product marketed as Fertan, which hopefully may be similar to Trustan, and I have ordered a litre to try it out.
