Update from Classc Roadsters (Screens, door handles, moulds)

Post by martinpcraven »

A quick update to all you current 356 / Spyder builders who enquired about screens and other accessories.

The screen frames that we previously mentioned that we were going to commission are now in the process of being made. For some unfathomable reason the fabricator will only make 15 at a time, so it will be first come first served. However, we do have enough extrusion for 250 windscreens! We expect deliveries in the next 4 weeks. Ditto windscreen glass, posts etc. We have arranged a collection point in the Midlands (Brisheco Racing) or of course the HQ here in Surrey.

There is also a very LIMITED stock of engine lid grills and other goodies which have just arrived in Saxony. These will be delivered to me in time for Stoneleigh. The fabled "Porsche" external door handles have turned up - with push buttons but non-locking. Our lock conversion will retro fit these handles and will be available by the end of the Summer.

I hope that info. is seen as a "public service announcement" and not blatant commercialism. BTW Bootsy, you never sent me the advertising rates anyway?

Another little "announcement" - guess we've all said it at one time or another - "I could do that", well now you can. We've recently been offered the ORIGINAL" Sheldonhurst moulds for the Speedster and the California. As you may already know, we have all of our bodies and chassis' made in Germany, so have no use fo these moulds. So if you fancy becoming a Speedster manufacturer, we will put you in touch with the owners , Realm Engineering Limited.

Form an orderly queue.

Martin,

I e-mailed you about a set of door handles. Not fussed about locks as I have central locking. Can you give me a shout please.
No you aren't imagining things, the cow did blink!
