fuel gauge not working

while im here....and so are you...my fuel gauge stoped working the other day...started working for a bit...and hasent worked since.....any ideas.??? i have checked the wires om the back....and they are there...

Probably the sender is faulty. There is a float linked to some electrical contacts in there. Its possible to dismantle though, and I think there is a tech article on Pelican which explains how to fix it. One of the thin wires in mine was broken, which lead to intermittent readings. I managed to re-solder it and all was well... worth a try
