indicator relays - wiring?

Post by hot66 »

I am replacing the indicator relay on my '67. The exisiting one has 3 terminals labelled:

31
49
49a

My replacment has the folowing labels:

P
X
L

The circuit diagram on my replacement shows that:

L ..... 'blinklampen'
P ..... earth?
X ..... 'konktolle vom'

Anyone know how the labels on the new relay correspond to the numbers on the old one?

There is no earth on my 67 wiring diagram but on later cars 31 is earth (brown)
49: Red wire to Control Light Relay ('konktolle vom'?)
49a: Black/white/green to indicator switch
C: Blue/white to tacho warning light ('blinklampen'?)
