Spacers

Post by sladey »

Does anyone have any experience or comments, good or bad, on the use of spacers on the rear wheels?

I'm backdating my 87 3.2 and previously had 9x17" wheels at the rear which filled the arches nicely.

I've gone to 8x15 Fuchs, which look a bit narrower in the arch (It's hard to tell until the ride height is lowered again) - so I wondered if spacers might be an option.

Don't bite me head off - just wondering

There is no problem with using spacers, just as long as they are not to thick for the studs. I am having to use 7 mm spacers to fit 7R rims under the rear arch of a 71 shell.
