***DDK Northern Event 2006***

Post by hot66 »

Fri 11th , Sat 12th, Sun 13th Aug 2006

Time to plan for the 2006 Northern Weekend :)

The 2005 event was huge fun, in fact who wouldn't enjoy spending a weekend blasting around the Yorkshire dales in their classic Porsche surrounded by more classic Porsche's ;)

If your partner has doubt's about going on a 'Porsche' event please persuade them to join us. The weekend is all about having a laid back fun time and most bring along their partners :)

I will add more details of the weekends activities as I confirm them, but initially we must confirm the accomodation.

Accomodation Details :)

www.cbinn.co.uk

I have booked us into ' The Charles Bathurst Inn ' otherwise known as ' The CB Inn'

For those who came along on the event this year, The CB Inn was the place we stopped for lunch at. Its location is spectactular and the place itself is very atmospheric and has superb beer ;)

There are 18 rooms available , and due to its location we will eat there Friday night and Saturday night.

Prices:

£ 120 per person Dinner Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights accomodation based onto 2 people sharing ( Standard Room )

£ 135 per person Dinner Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights accomodation based onto 2 people sharing ( Superior Room )

SINGLE PEOPLE.... There is a single suppliment of £20 PER NIGHT for the standard room. If any of you singles are good enough friends with other singles then there are 'twin rooms' available at the standard rates. ( If there are less than a total of 3 singles the single supplement does not apply)

IMHO these prices are good. It works out at £60 pppn incl. Dinner.... which inturn effectivily means the cost is approx £40pppn B&B :)

Any questions / queries please let me know.

Deposits needed and rooms booked by mid Jan 2006

Hi

One superior room for me and the Mrs please.

Even I think I can have the 3.6 fitted by August. Fingers crossed it might even be ready for the Classic Le Mans.

Rough outline plan for the weekend is:

Friday 11th .. Meet at the CB Inn for meal, drinks & Porsche banter ;)

Saturday 12th .. Drive out based around the Yorkshire Dales followed by meal & drinks at the CB

Sunday 13th .. Drive out based around the Yorkshire Moors

The drives will be similar style to this year with various stops en-route and superb driving roads :)

As I mentioned on a previous thread I have a special visit planned for us on the Sunday :)
