Boge strut locknut

Post by robs912 »

I'm hoping someone may have 2 of these in their stash of parts.
I need 2 locknuts for boge struts on a swb 912 I have the koni ones and the thread is incorrect.
Trying to upload pictures but can't seem to do it!
Many thanks Rob

I might have a pair....

There are no 'BOGE' or other makers marks cast into the top face, but the part number starts with: 1.233. something (illegible).

The thread is 50mm diameter and the thread pitch is 2 mm. Hole in the centre for the piston rod is 25mm dia.

They will have come off my 1973T 911 on BOGE but might be right for you?
Let me know.

If right you can have them for a voluntary donation to the DDK Charity.

I have just checked and the ones I need are 50mm diameter and seem to have a 1.5mm pitch thread. Are yours definitely 2mm pitch? Other than that they sound perfect.

I did a quick measure a few mins ago, looks like they are 1.5mm pitch, they give 5 threads over 7.5mm length, 5 x 1.5 = 7.5 so looks good.

They have been in my 'old 911 bits' box since 1989 when I converted to Bilstein struts etc.

Please pm me your postal address and I'll get them away probably tomorrow. Royal mail in a jiffy bag.

Hope you are in England!

Graham.
