Garage cupboards and drawers and that
Any bright ideas on storage and workbench gear for the garage?
What I’d ideally get is a Sealey or Clarke style set up - metal drawers, cabinets, workbench - but because I’ve been building a stupid house instead of doing paid work for the last 5 years I don’t really have Sealey or Clarke money to throw around.

Trawl your local industrial estate for Dexion racking - I ended up filling a 7½ tonne truck with the stuff when my old work moved locations and fitted out their new place with brand spanking new stuff. I got enough to kit my then new garage out, the truck owner got the same and more, the technicians got a crate of beer each as thanks for helping us load it up, and my work didn't have to deal with pikeys.

And Sam, if you're going to hang around industrial estates in The Fens late in the evening 'trawling' could you film it all for us please.

Sam's already stated he hasn't earned an honest wage in five years - he'll be popping it up on his OF and you'll have to pay for it like everyone else.

Re: Garage cupboards and drawers and that
There used to be one big Ex MOD equipment, vehicles and everything else auction site. Now there seems to be dozens. But, may be worth keeping an eye on for workshop storage. If you are a member, Costco also used to sell some very decent American sized tool boxes and benches (although I currently cannot condone buying anything from the land of the orange baboon). Also, if any engineering companies go under near you they may have loads surplus for the price of a few crates of beer as above..... Or, a childhood mate of mine's dad had an amazing workbench. Ex Lloyds bank counter, customer side against the wall, teller side complete with multiple drawers etc. facing the garage.

My big toolbox came from Costco, over ten years ago now. It's actually from Mexico - and I don't know if that's ironic or not.

Or copy that cool lawman…
Buy a few Halfords tool chests and fit a worktop over a line of them. Removing the wheels and welding up a frame to raise them back up, is optional
